I have mostly been neglecting Surprise this offseason, mostly because I can't decide whether they should be trying to contend or not. What I am sure about is that poor Amed Rosario needs a new home. He's totally blocked at SS behind Willy Adames and Gleyber Torres, with more prospect on the way. Rosario obviously had a challenging 2020, but so did many of us. He can still contribute with a solid SS-3 and respectable .771 OPS vs. LHP. He also just turned 25 last month, so there's still some potential waiting to be unleashed. Surprise has other players available, as covered in this post Surprise Offseason Update - ARBA Message Board (activeboard.com), but freeing Rosario is the top priority.
In return, I'm seeking present and/or future value in the form of pitching, 2B, or 3B. I'm certainly willing to sweeten the pot with cash or another player to land someone more valuable to me than Rosario. So, who wants to give this kid a chance?
