even after all our research, there are 3 players who flew under the radar and are now rated in the top 20 draft elgible
Have ya'll ever heard so much downplaying of a draft class before the draft. Everything I read says it is a down year for high schoolers, especially position players and it is a down year for college position players. Additionally, eventhough there are a lot of quality college arms, there are no real ringers amongst them. Just seems odd that the draft critics are so down on this year's crop.
I think that is because all of the guys having great seasons have a perceived weakness. The guys with the pedigree have not had great years.
if Ian Kennedy, Daniel Bard and Walden were putting up the same numbers as morrow/lincecum or lincoln, then we would have a lot more buzz. If Stubbs wasn't K ing so much, then he would be at the top.
The only preseason blue chipper that has performed as expected is Miller. That is why he will go number 1 unless he asks for too much money from KC.
Texas wacked Joba Chamberlain and Nebreska last night. McCullouch pitched 7 very good innings. Only gave up 1 run I believe. After a slow start he looks like he may be finishing strong.
I will be there for Sunday's game and will report back with a scouting report.
Just search "university of ________ athletics" and the school's athletic page almost always appears. Go to the baseball section and look for stats. May need to do a little more searching on some sites depending on the website layout but usually they're pretty easy to find.
Save it as a favorite and you can check it every monday for the updated weekend stats.
Jeff is right. But there is also an easier, more consolidated method. Go to http://www.ncaa-baseball.com/ and you get each day's scores and boxscores from around the country. They are sorted by top 25 and then also by conference.
I initially bookmarked each individual college's baseball page for team's whom I had players. Now I only have the above site bookmarked. WHen you click on boxscore it takes you to the team's website for the boxscore. From there you can access stats.
Kyle Russell has done very well, as have all of Texas' freshmen who are starting. Will Kimmey from BA I believe was asked about freshmen of the year so far and he mentioned Russell as well as Suttle and the other freshmen on the team.
Jordan Danks btw hurt his ankle vs Baylor last weekend and hasn't played since.
