Chapman hit a solo shot to start the scoring in the first before HAR followed up with a lot of unfair rolls against Nola leading to 4 runs. HAR never looked back. Strasburg would go 8 innings and HAR would win 7-1.
Game 2: Weaver vs Arrieta
GAL would start the scoring again in the first, plating 1 run on an Arrieta error. Arrieta would settle down and go 8 innings giving up one unearned run. Lots of runs would follow with Stanton and Lindor hitting homeruns. Once again HAR got all the rolls and GAL got none. HAR wins 13-1.
Game 3: Rodriguez vs Cole
Pitchers duel with Lindor hitting a solo shot in the 5th. HAR would add an insurance run in the 9th and win the game 2-0.
Game 4: Straily vs Sale
Would HAR get the sweep in GAL's ballpark....not if Sale had anything to say about it. Actually it was Baez as he hit 2 homeruns to put GAL ahead. Sale would sail untouched into the 4th when HAR would put 4 on the board cutting GAL's lead to 1. HAR would never get any closer as GAL wins 7-4.
Game 5: Strasburg vs Nola
Nola would not be denied a win this time. GAL would score single runs in the 1st, 3rd, and 5th as the rolls seemed to have turned in their favor. HAR cut the lead to 2 in the 7th but wouldn't get any closer as GAL wins 4-1.
Game 6: Cole vs Arrieta
Cole would deal once again trying to keep his team alive. GAL would score first in the 2nd on a Jackson single. HAR answered in the bottom of the inning on a Haniger dropped flyball in cf. Zeros into the 6th when Chapman would send a solo shot into the stands giving GAL a 1 run lead. GAL added an insurance run in the 8th off Brebbia. GAL brought in Allen to close things out in the 9th up 2 facing the top of the HAR ordered. Santana would lead off the inning with a walk followed by a game tying 2 run shot by Narvaez. The game would remain tied until the 11th. With two outs Stanton stepped to the plate to face Giles and would end the game with a deep shot to centerfield.
Great series by Steve, really good team that just didn't get any rolls early. Congrats on a good season, imagine this team will be back in the playoffs next year.
