Game 3: Masahiro Tanaka (11-11, 4.46) vs Sean Manaea (20-4, 3.06) SFE took an early lead on a 2-run Betts homer and got good rolls and better splits against Tanaka, running up a 9-0 lead before he was mercifully relieved, the last two runs coming on a 2-base throwing error by Ender "cf1 (-3) e5" Inciarte. With the game out of reach, Christian Villanueva hit a 2-run homer, but it was too little too late, as the Geckos finished with as many HR (Merrifield, Bogaerts, and 2 for Betts) as Sewell had hits. SFE 11 SEW 3
Game 4: Keller vs Scherzer Aguilar hit a 2-run homer in the first and that was more than enough for Scherzer, who allowed 1 hit and 1 walk in 8 innings. SFE 6 SEW 0
Game 5: Manaea vs Greinke The dice favored SFE again as split after split was made in a 6-run third inning. To get a sense of Strat's hatred for Kevin in this series, at one point Moustakis misssed a 1-18 SI with runners on and in the next half-inning Bogaerts singled on a SI 1 lo 2-20 chance. SFE 11 SEW 2
So SFE takes the series 4-1. Congrats to Kevin on putting together a great SEW team that deserved better than the dice they got in these three games.
