What happens to pitching rotations?

Ok, now that rule one passed (35 maximum starts) how does that effect a teams rotations. As we get to the last 1/3 of the season some managers who have stretched their starting pitchers starts are going to run out of innings. Are they going to be allowed to make adjustments to the OFFICAL ROTATION or are they just going to be over in innings and face a large overuse fine. Is each manager going to be able to request a physical change in their pitchers S rating to reflect the difference between the old and the new usuage?

Ken,

Thanks for asking this question. The short answer is that teams should not get carried away with having extra starts. Picthers with < 6 ERA will still be limited on IP.  Therefore, would strongly recommend against MCgiving any pitcher more GS than his IP/6. The CM can be set to limit a starter to 6 or 7 innings, which will help avoid usage issues. The only pitchers who should reasonably be expected to make more than 10% of actual starts are those who also have a lot of relief IP. Someone might try an opener strategy with quick hooks in every start to hold down usage, but that takes more work. We will not be changing the S ratings.

As for altering rotations during the season, ill leave that one for YOC.  We do prefer to keep those as set at the beginnin, particularly since even an overused pitcher could still make his scheduled start, but get pulled early.
