Bradley Suttle, a 6th rd pick of Ft Worth and a freshman at Texas hit his first career collegiate homerun last night against OU. Suttle has reached base safely in 29 of Texas' 30 games and has payed 3b, ss and 2b. He is batting .321 so far on the year.
DavidAdams (Virginia - 2b) - Freshman who raised his season average to .357 over the past week. He leads UVA in HRs (4)...His OBP (.433) and SLG (.522) lead the team for players who've started all 30 games this season.
Reese Havens (South Carolina - ss) - Freshman raised his season average to .274 after a slow start for the Gamecocks. He's tied for the team lead in doubles (7) and continues to show solid plate discipline with a 14:16 BB-to-SO ratio.
Andrew Miller (North Carolina - lhp) - Junior lefty who continues to put up numbers worthy of the #1 selection in next June's draft. His 6 wins in 7 starts to go along with his 1.34 ERA lead the ACC for full-time starters. Opponents are hitting .185 off him in 47 innings. He's only given up 2 extra-base hits this season (2 doubles) to go along with his 10:61 BB-to-SO ratio.
Yea and he has been playing basketball up until 10 days ago. His last outing was 6ip 4 hits, so I'm not as worried about his "stats" as Keith seems to be.
Why don't you "comment" on your own players? You can never pass up an opportunity to be ****.
Just trying to stay within the thread of Ft Worth minor league report. Jeff was chastised for reporting on Ely's college guys. I guess the thread should be retitled Ft Worth Minor League Positive Reports.
Since you requested it:
David Price Vanderbilt Lhp Soph Hdt #1 20th overall
Just named SEC pitcher of the week for the 2nd conscutive week and 3rd time for the season.
last start @ #15 Florida 8 ip 5 h 0 bb 13 k
season 4-2 7 starts 1.78 era 51 ip 29 h 13 bb 78 k .161 opp avg
Actually, he was not "chastised". He was kidded with and he took as such. You were the only one to misinterpret what was said, then felt like you had to get involved. And I followed up with "the more the merrier". When he posted it was positive about his player. But leave it to you to put a negative spin on something that isn't negative to begin with.
You are welcome to post positive reports about your players on this thread, in spite of the title. I started the thread, so if I choose to only report on positive information that is my choice and none of your business. If you choose to only be a negative sob then do it on your own thread, or better yet keep it to yourself.
But as I've never known you to pass up the opportunity to promote yourself at the expense of others I doubt you will keep it to yourself.

Look I post things on the meassage board because I enjoy the banter and exchange of information. I come here several times a day to see if anyone has posted anything. As can be seen by the number of times threads are viewed, several other league members also check in. Unfortunately not a lot of posts/threads are started. And ones that are quickly die off.
By posting minor league reports, top tens, organization reports or whatever, I'm just trying to keep the conversation going. In doing so I of course set myself up to be zinged by Keith and others. Usually I take it in stride and laugh with it and self depricate myself. I have known Keith longer than anyone else and he has been and is a good friend. But every once in awhile someone has to punch him back or he will just keep with the negative's and put downs. After awhile they get old. I have had several conversations with Keith over the past weeks via AIM and he has been in that put down mood. When it flowed over to MY thread that is about glorifying MY minor leaguer's and anyone else's that want to join in I had had enough and it pissed me off.
Knowing Keith he is probably sitting back and getting a good laugh that he got me to react. So anyway, anybody that would like to report on the success of their minor leaguer's or thier drafts are welcome. And before Keith reminds me for the 1 millionth time, yes I had the #1 overall pick many years ago and wasted it on Chito Martinez. Laugh, throw tomatoes, point your finger at me, whatever. Maybe it was the worse #1 overall pick in ARBA history, I don't know. But it sure as hell is the most talked about. Besides, didn't I redeem myself last year with the #2 overall and drafting Alex Gordon? Keith would probably say "No".
I didn't realize the thread was restricted to "glorifying" FTW prospects. I made no judgement positive or negative but only posted current stats and did nothing to "promote myself". You took those stats negatively and got angry. If I posted a thread that was titled GDP or HDT minor league report, I would think any of that team's prospects would be open to being reported on. My mistake was I didn't realize the context and limits of the thread. Once again, I expressed no opinion positive or negative about any Ftw player(s).
As for Mr Gordon of Hou and company. I rated him as a "stud and future all-star" and gave Hou a grade of a B or B+ and that might have been low with Tulo, Martin and Danks. That and a $1 will buy you a cup of coffee.
Ftw recieved an A- as my second highest rated 05 draft.
I guess you forgot about those grades/opinions from the negative SOB.
It's OK to be angry with me because I deserve it for something. Just get the facts correct when you want to be pissed.
