C/FA and Other Post-Roster Information
Permalink

All Rosters should be up to date, as well as Money Balances.  Please check your roster and let me know if anything looks wrong asap.

The Free Agent and C Player lists are also current and are listed in the order in which they will be available for bid at the C/FA Auction.

Thanks,

-Tom

Lucas Schiraldi is listed as a pitcher in the Free Agent file, but shouldn't he be an uncarded cut available in the IOD?

Joe Smith seems to be very popular, available in both the FA and C auctions.

Whoa!  You guys had better tread carefully or suffer the harsh consequences of flagrantly violating 2008's YOC Infallibility Act.  You should know that any apparent YOC "errors" in the rosters must either be your error or carefully placed there in His benevolence to test our dedication and attention.  For example, it's a little known fact that "Alex" Gordon's real name is Alexi and he's chosen to go by it from now on after a rough season.

As for the specific challenges raised...

1) Players cut to avoid paying them a rookie B1 contract actually are supposed to be on the FA list, so Lucas "Luke" Schiraldi is in this right place.

2) Joe Smith is very popular, but he is only available in the C auction this year.  The FA listing of Joe Smith was merely a test, which you passed, but received demerits for insufficient respect to YOC.  Therefore, the extra Joe Smith will be removed from the FA list at YOC's convenience.

Any further apparent "errors" should be brought to our attention, but in a more respectful manner.     no

Eric- I join you in reveling in the beneficent majesty that is our beloved Commissioner (who did a great job remarkably fast with the rosters).  And I am a big advocate of exporting the principle of Commissioner infallibility to other leagues as well!

But I believe Rick's point was that Lukas "don't call me Calvin" Schiraldi isn't carded.  Its not a question of "FA" vs. "Rookie"; he's not either.

Kevin is correct regarding my point on Calvin Schiraldi's long-lost cousin Lukas.  He compiled 0 MLB appearances in 2016, spending the complete season in two levels in A ball.  Now that I have violated the YOC Infallability Act of 2008 (twice), what is the punishment for doing so?

In that case, Lukas should definitely be purged from the FA list and from our collective memory.  As for punishments, that's not my department, so I don't presume to say. Perhaps the benevolent YOC will be lenient since this is a legitimate correction, but one never knows.  On a related note, you can look forward to Daniel Nava joining the FA list soon.  I'm sure he will be near the top of your wish lists.

Silly question, but I'm a NOOB!

Where is the C/FA file?

If you go to the main page (www.fatlazybastards.com/arba), check the rows under the "Current Information" side table.  There are links there to "C Players" and "Free Agents"
