I've only made 12 so far, plus 11 more with Surprise. Surely there are more moves to be made...
It turns out that Shiner would really like to add a warmish body with 20+ starts so they wouldn't need to carry so many swingman types, like those on the list below. Gee, didn't I just trade away a pitcher with 24 starts? Why yes, I'm an idiot. Thanks for asking!
Anyway, the most expendable members of the roster include:
1) Sam Deduno - RHP, 35 G, 9 GS, 111 AIP, 4.47 ERA, .724 OPS against. Has a pretty decent balanced card.
2) Felix Doubront - LHP, 21 G, 14 GS, 88 AIP, .821 OPS against. I won't lie, he's pretty terrible, but still young enough to get better maybe?
4) Munenori Kawasaki - SS/2B/3B, 301 APA, .623 OPS but surprisingly good OB on his card. Best defensively at SS. I just acquired him, but he's not safe!
5) Andrew Romine - SS/2B, 300 APA, .554 OPS, decent vs. LHP, bad vs. RHP. Excellent defense at SS.
6) David DeJesus - LF/CF, 300 APA, .756 OPS vs. RHP, don't ask vs. LHP. I just added him today and do like the guy, but would still trade him in for a younger model.
7) Mike Carp - 1B/3B/LF/RF, UL PA, .519 OPS. Decent OB vs. RH and decent D at 1B. It's best if you don't ask for more.
Okay, I'll stop there for now, but feel free to ask about others.
Depending on how much I like what's offered, Shiner could package a couple of these guys together and/or add cash. Alternatively, I could just buy your player and keep all my scrubs for now. I'm also in the market for another bat, particularly one that actually might crack double digit HR this season. We're in Wrigley, so that would be easier for a RH batter to accomplish.
