MGG and SCG Needs

Hi everyone!

Did you overspend at the C/FA auction and now have holes to fill?

MGG (especially) and SCG may just be in the market for what you're selling. If you have extra relievers, hitters, warm bodies, etc. especially with plenty of innings/PA, MGG may be in the market if the price is right. As roster spots fill, the price MGG will pay will go down. I'm really only interested in offering cash unless the player offers something particularly good with respect to upside/youth.

SCG has more discerning tastes and has no fewer than 9 prospects listed in the top 50 of one or more of Keith Law's, Baseball Prospectus', or MLB.com's (Jim Callis) top prospect lists. The price I'm willing to pay depends on the overall profile of the player coming back in return. Starting pitching is the most desired commodity at this time, though an upgrade at 3B would also be positive in the long term. I feel confident in my long-term solutions at C, 1B, SS, and OF, so it is highly unlikely I'd be in the market for any of these positions unless the player is good enough to warrant use as a DH. I'm not confident that SCG is a playoff team, so I'm not willing to leverage my future for nominal upgrades. I'm looking for players who can provide significant return on investment now and into the future. Basically, if you want to trade an established young player for a prospect because your young player is blocked or your window is nowhere near now, I think we can talk. If you are talking elite young talents, I'll talk elite young prospects!

Best,
Joe (jmenicucci@gmail.com)
