Wow, the trading season is off to a fast start this year. Although I'm not feeling the fever quite yet, I'd better at least post something about my teams. Surprise welcomed a bunch of talented rookies who I hope will become major contributors in the near future. For now, this team isn't good enough to be a viable contender.
Needs: OF, 3B, OF, SP, picks, OF, prospects, OF, cash, and OF. Did I mention OF?
Available:
1) Jake Peavy I drafted this kid way back in 2000, so it will hurt to see him go. However, he's coming off an A contract, so here he is.
2) Randy Wolf - I would be happy to keep him around, but should give the veteran starter a chance to play for a contender again.
3) Sean Burnett - Lefty reliever with a run of good seasons.
4) Yunel Escobar - Quality everyday SS. I'll keep him unless the right offer comes along, but Gordon is almost ready to take over.
5) Others - Scott Hairston, Ryan Ludwick, Nate McLouth, Freddy Sanchez, Juan Rivera, Wil Venable. If you're a big fan of any of these guys, there's a good chance that we can work out a deal. The fact that almost all of them are OF may be related to my needing some new ones.
I'm willing to talk about other players, but not looking to do a full teardown now.
