As you may all remember, we implemented a rule last year that the order of the first 5 picks in the first round is determined by weighted lottery. The results last year were a big upset, with Houston getting the first pick despite its 1-in-16 chance.
The 5 teams with the worst record this year were:
JRS 29-133
SPR 39-123
BRK 49-113
HOU 51-111
NMO 58-104
The randomizer was random again this year, although not quite as extreme. So the final order is:
BRK
NMO
JRS
HOU
SPR
So accursed BRK gets lucky with the #1 overall pick, NMO gets very lucky with its 1-in-16 getting the #2, and SPR gets shafted by just missing the 400K finish money *and* getting the worst of the lottery draft picks. Sorry, Kevin!
