Joe H. has decided to cut down on the number of leagues he's in, so he is going to be departing us. Thanks to Joe for a great season and good luck in his other leagues. From an administrative standpoint, extra thanks to Joe for letting me know in advance so I had time to fill the spot.
On that note, everyone please welcome Glenn Kenan as the new owner of NYC. Glenn will be keeping the team in NYC but renaming it the Freedom. Glenn is an experienced Strat player and I think he'll fit right in. I'll be updating the Manager page shortly, but in the meantime you can contact Glenn at glennkk8@gmail.com or via AIM at GK8808.
I'm really excited about becoming the new owner of the NYC franchise, and hopefully I can bring a winning team to the "Big Apple". I thought the nickname "Freeedom" would be very appropriate in honor of this great city and what it stands for.
As Tom mentioned, I've been playing strat for a long, long time, and enjoy it as much now as I did 20 years ago. This is the first salary league I've been in, so it may take me a little while to get the hang of it. I live in Cincinnati, Ohio, so needless to say, I'm really going to enjoy the post season this year with the Reds. They've been a gutsy and resilent team all year.
I will be open for any trade offers, although, I do have several young players that I consider to be the future of the team, and would be very hesitant to trade. But, as it stands now, the Freedom has no true full time 1st baseman, no 3rd baseman and thin in the outfield. If you have any trade ideas, lets talk. In the meantime, I'll be accessing my team a little closer and be ready for the off-season activities.
