AYURL has a couple differences from ARBA, most of which make it somewhat less time consuming than ARBA - no minor leaguers or salary structure being the primary ones.  Also, I'm not Commissioner, so you don't have to deal with my iron-fisted rule in both leagues.

There are several current ARBA managers in AYURL - me, Kevin (who is commissioner), Jon, Eric, and Joe.

It's a fun league, and the available teams are generally in good shape - one was the league champ in 2008, another is primed for a playoff run right now, and the third has Lincecum, Hamels, Youkilis, and some other good pieces.

The annual draft for AYURL is conducted via email instead of IM so it is a much more relaxed atmosphere, but with no minor leaguers you get the chance to shape your team right away - among available players for this year's draft are Matt Weiters, Chris Carpenter, Tommy Hanson, and Andrew McCutchen.  The draft starts Jan 1, so obviously if you're thinking about signing on, the sooner the better.
