Stats are a bit fuzzy - two different subset files, the game files should be fine. Also, I don't have a box score for game 1. It is to weep.
Game 1: Santana v. Webb
Webb pitches well (6IP 2 ER), but Santana's better (8 IP/ 1ER) - Kelly Johnson's triple is the difference as HDT takes a 1-0 Series lead. Cameron hit a solo shot for the only BRK damage.
Game 2: Lee v. Cain
Reyes is a double short of the cycle, but a strong Brooklyn attack can't keep up with the beat-down on Cliff Lee. Despite giving up seven runs, Cain takes the win. 15-8 HDT. Burton (I 1/3 IP 5 Runs) will not re-appear in this series. Reyes, Doumit, Ordonez, Glaus all go yard.
Game 3: Mussina v. Looper
Down 2-0, Brooklyn was hoping this matchup might prove fruitful, and so it was. Looper wasn't terrible, but Mussina was excellent (7 2/3 IP, 1 ER) In the 7th, already leading 4-0, Chipper Jones managed to rupture something important on a meaningless ground out and would not return in the series. D'oh! Mike Cameron hits his 2nd HR of the series in a 5-1 BRK win.
Game 4: Santana v. Webb
This game 1 rematch was another strong pitching performance, but this time it was the bullpens. Both starters were good, but left the game knotted up 3-3. The bullpens then came in and shut everything down till the 16th. BRK threatened in the 12th, HDT in the 13th but everything would stay knotted till Doumit led off the 16th with a double and Griffey launched one out of the park against lefty specialist Lopez. 5-3 BRK win ties the seires. Nathan pitches 3 scoreless for HDT, striking out 8 but Kuo's 5 shutout innings were even more impressive. To make up for Chipper's self-injury, Webb nailed Magglio Ordonez in the head in the first inning, knocking him straight onto the DL.
Game 5: Lee v. Cain
Looked like a BRK cakewalk after Mike Cameron's grand slam (and 3rd HR!) in the 2nd while HDT rallied, chasing Lee in the 7th. Brooklyn's pen (Campillo!) manages to close it out for a 7-6 win. Will anyone win on the road?
Game 6: Mussina v. Looper
Jose Reyes looked like he'd take the lead for BRK but was thrown out trying to stretch a triple in the top of the 5th with the score tied 2-2. HDT made that not an issue in the 6th putting together a one out rally in the 7th, even scoring a run against iron man Kuo. Papelbon gets the win as HDT ties it back up with a 5-2 win.
Game 7: Santana v. Webb
Coming into the game hitting .083 on the series, Teixeira saves it for the deciding game with two homeruns. Webb left in the 5th, for Kuo who worked out of a jam and pitched a shutout second half of the game. BRK wins 8-3 and takes their first playoff series in franchise history!
BRK out-homered HDT 11-7, but the overall scoring was close 36-35 BRK.
