Okay, I'll finally make some sort of official statement out here. It's very odd to see 13 trades confirmed without being involved at all. However, it will probably be a relatively quiet offseason for my teams, at least until the C/FA auction. Both of them are stuck in that uncomfortable place between legitimate contender and rebuilding project. Oh well, hopefully we'll win another championship this season!
Surprise still has some strong performers, but the pitching took a nosedive and there several gaping holes in the lineup. It sure seems like there are too many issues to fix without totally gutting the minors, which I don't want to do. Perhaps some of you will be generous enough to give me quality talent in return for my leftovers though. Hey, it's too early for us to completely abandon hope.
Getting down to it at last, Surprise needs help at 2B, 3B, RF, and SP. What do we have to offer in return? Hell if I know.! Angel Villalona's not convicted yet, right?
