Because I'm an idiot, I just couldn't resist the challenge of taking over the abandoned Iowa team at this late juncture. Unfortunately, it seems to be about 20 players short of a full roster, or at least it will be after I cut the 5 most offensive minor leaguers. Naturally, I'm intrigued by the notion of setting a record for extending the waiver draft (perhaps causing Tom's head to explode in the process), but I should at least inquire about potential trades first.
Luckily, Iowa does have enough starts and the lineup mostly covered everywhere but DH, even with only 22 cards. However, they could certainly use some help anyway. In particular, they are totally lacking in LH relief and probably a bit short on the RH variety as well. LH bats would be very welcome, particularly if they can play a little OF or 3B. Never fear, there's plenty of cash on hand to buy your unwanted players. As I'm not really expecting to find many useful bodies via the trade route, I would also be willing to pay for extra waiver picks.
