Despite the fact that they are doomed to mostly suck this season, Surprise still has a few quality relievers on the roster. Manny Corpas isn't going anywhere, but others might if you're doing last minute shopping. Mike Wuertz could give you about 80 innings of 3.48 ERA goodness and his card actually looks better than that. Then there's Casey Janssen, who has a 2.35 ERA and a 2:3 relief rating...that's right, he can close! I had planned to keep Janssen, but am now making him available, for labrum-related reasons. I'm not going to give either of them away, but they probably do have more value to a contender, so please let me know if you're interested. Unfortunately, I don't have much roster flexibility at this stage in the offseason. With 2 open roster spots, we need another OF with 250+ PA and would need a pitcher with innings to replace Janssen and/or Wuertz. Of course, I can fill those needs in the waiver draft, but couldn't make room for more than one prospect without including one or more of my lesser prospects in the deal. On the other hand, there's always room for more cash. Okay, enough rambling.
