After 3 games of offensive ineptitude, the Hdt hitters were happy to back in the friendly confines of Diablo Park. In a rematch of game 6 pitchers, Brk quieted the crowd when Chipper knocked one over the cf wall. Brk took it's 1-0 lead to bottom of the 1st. Glavine immediately hit Hill in the head with a change up. Hill was taken to the hospital but will return if there is a gm 7. Glavine seemed rattled as he gave up a single to Guillen and then grooved a meatball to Quinlan for a 3 run HR. Beltran later himered in the inning and Hdt took a 4-1 lead after 1 inn. A Rod jacked one to start the 3rd and Chipper had a 2 out 3b to bring Man Ram to the plate. In the most important ab of the series, Manny hit a easy grounder to 2b but being Manny he flipped the bat in the air in disgust and it fell on his arm breaking it in 2 places and he will be lost for the remainder of the season! It remained 4-3 until the 4th when after twso 1 out singles Guillen plugged the gap for a 2 run double. Hdt 6-2 after 4 inn. Brk got back in the game in the 6th. A lead off walk followed by a 1 out 2b by German (yes Mags misses another range check) sets up a rbi ground out by Tex and then Kinsler's rbi single makes it 6-4 after 6 inn. Sexson hrs in the bottom of the 7th to build the lead back to 3 runs. Nathan enters the game to start the 8th hoping to force a game 7 but Chipper greets him with a HR. Nathan escapes further damage and Hdt heads to the 9th leading 7-5. Nathan starts off the 9th by walking .208 Doumit and then drops an easy grounder for an error to put the tying run on and the winning run at the plate. Roberts hits into a DP and then Nathan pitches around A Rod to bring Chipper to the plate who is 4-4 with a 2b 3b and 2 Hrs. Chippers Ks and Hdt holds on for a 7-5 win and we head to gm 7.

GM 7 Webb vs Santana
The aces are back for a decisive game 7. Hill is back in the lineup but Manny is in street clothes and a cast in the Brk dugout. Santana will retire the first 14 hitters he faces and Hdt takes and earlt 1-0 lead on a Bard HR in the 2nd that barely cleared the fence on a 1-10 roll with a 10. Brl finally gets a base runner with a 1 out 2b by A Rod in the 5th and with 2 outs Rivera is HBP and leaves the game. Brk's outfield is now missing 2 starters and Santana Ks Pudge to preserve a 1-0 lead. Both starters keep tossing goose eggs and after 6 the score remains 1-0 Hdt. To start the 7th Hdt replaces a pissed Santana who is tossing a 1 hitter with Papelbon. In what looks like a repat of gm 5 where Paps melted down and blew the game Brk gets a leadoff walk from Chipper followed by a A Rod single . Then the gold gloved Glaus makes an incredible stab of a Saenz grounder and turns it into a 5-4-3 dp. Paps settles down and gets the next 4 batters he faces. Hdt gets an insurance run in the 8th on a leadoff 2b from Guillen and an rbi hit from Payton. Hdt leads 2-0 and is 3 outs away from it's 1st trip to the ARBA world series since 1996. Brk's Texiera leads off with a hit but Nathan comes in and Ks Gwynn and A Rod. Saenz grounds out to 3b and jubilation reigns in the desert. Pop the champagne!!!! Hdt 2 Brk 0

A very tough series with two evenly matched teams. Manny's injury really changed Brk's lineup for half of gm 6 and all of gm 7. Congrats to Jon on having such a great team in 07.
