Belfast scores two unearned runs in the bottom of the third thanks to a Morgan Ensberg error. Baldelli leads off the top of the eighth for the Toppers and scores on a one out ground out by Matsui to make the score 2-1. Garciaparra walks to lead off the bbottom of the eighth and scores on a two out double by Kapler to make it 3-1. The Toppers threaten in the ninth but Wainwright gets the last two outs for the save. Belfast wins 3-1.
Belfast banged out 15 hits (3 doubles) to go along with 6 walks and scores runs in 5 different innings. Martinez goes 7 2/3 giving up two runs. Denys Reyes gives up one more run but finishes off an 8-3 win for Belfast.
The series moves to Harmony Grove with Belfast up 2-0.
