Well, I guess its time for me to dive into the trade talk.
Springfield needs bats!
SPR has no catcher at all (they couldn't have stuck Piazza in there for one lousy inning?) and needs a couple good bats for its 1B/OF/DH mix.
The main trade bait we have, at least at the major league level, is relief pitching. Would you believe Doug Brocail held opposing hitters to a .650 OPS last season? Would you believe that only makes him the sixth best reliever on my staff- behind Okajima, Capps, Hoffman, Fuentes and Heilman, most of whom will also have significant closer ratings. Love to keep all of them, obviously, but any could be available for bats.
Scott Rolen and Jim Edmonds available to rebuilding teams as well.
