Top Pick:  Cla Meredith SD rhp card   1st/7th   Ridiculous relief card. Meredith should continue to be a top setup man and may replace Hoffman as closer.

Additional 1st rd picks:  M Vitters Hs  21st, P Feliciano Nyn card 26th

Draft: J richmond Atl, T Cahill Oak, C Fontaine Atl, C Clay Bos, A Reyes Nya,  B Fischer KC, T Pham Stl, T Gwynn Mil card, J Edwards Stl, F Castro Phi card, T Salmon Laa card, K Orr La

Future All Star;  Vitters

Assesment: Brk had 3 1st rd picks and used two of them on middle relievers. Meredith has a future but Feliciano is likely a one year wonder. Vitters is a likely 1st rd pick this summer and may be the top bat available in the draft. I am not overly excited about any of the rest of this draft. Grade largely based on Meredith and Vitters.

Grade:  C+

Top Pick: Mike Burgess HS 1st/8    Burgess has light tower power and great bat speed. He is regarded as the best power hitter available.

Draft: P Neshek Min card, G Norton TB card, J Smith NYN, D Oliver NYN card, T Hanson Atl

Allstar:   Burgess

Assesment:  I believe that Burgess is the real deal. Neshel looks to be a real nice reliever but this draft will rise/fall on Burgess' success.

Grade:   C

Get ready to drop Brooklyn's grade, because Vitters was actually drafted for Surprise, while Brooklyn received Feliciano, Angel Reyes and the legendary Tommy Pham, DDS.

Top Pick:  Yoslan Herrera Pit Rhp  2nd/40  Cuban defector signed by Pit for nearly 2 mil. Features three above avg pitches. Should be in Pit roatation by end of the season.

Draft: S Hammond Mil, S Lewis Cle, B Magee Tor,  D Trahern Tor, N Masset Tex

Top Pick: Billy Rowell Bal 3b 1st/2  I know this is a minority opinion but I had Rowell rated #1 in front of Kershaw. Rowell is a middle of the order high OBP and SLG. IMHO best player available in the draft.

Additional 1st rd: B Lillibridge Atl  12,  P Beato Bal 14, B Sinkbeil Fla 15, J Weeks UMia 22, G Parra Arz 30

Draft: M Napoli LAA card, C Trunfel Sea, C Gillespie Mil, E Martin HS

Allstars:   Rowell, Beato

Assesment: How can you go wrong when you have 7 of the first 30 picks? Sfe got the top hitter and two of the top pitchers in Beato and Sinkbeil. Add quality prospects Lillibridge, Weeks and Trunfel for depth to give this year's top rated draft.

Grade:   A

Sorry about that Eric. I moved the Brk guys but didn't realize vitters went to Sup.

That leaves only Meredith to get excited about.

BRK revised grade:  D+ despite 2 1st rd picks

Top Pick: Angel Villalona SFO 3b  1st/5.  16 YO signed for over 2 mil. He is supposed to have an electric bat. I will be very interested to see how SF handles him and where he begins his pro career. I really like him as he was my #4 rated prospect.

Additional 1st rd picks:  M Vitters HS 1/21, J Jackson HS 22

Draft: A Casilla Min, N Feliz  Atl, R Detwiler MizSt, J Shields TB card, j Mitchell Oak, N Ramirez HS, J Montero NYA, S Perex Hou, J Parraz Hou, J Niese NYN, J Garcia Fla, D Aardsma CHN card, M Sweeney LAA, J Simmons UCRiv

Allstars:  Villalona,  Vitters

Assesment. Attack of the killer Vs. Villalona and Vitters are two of the biggest risk/reward players in the draft. They both should be middle of the order hitters with Villona having more power and Vitters a better average. There are other players that merit attention as future MLB players Casilla and Detwiler are my best bets.

Grade:   A-

Was Keith in such a hurry to grade the Sup and SFE drafts that he cut off the Houston report card early?  No All-star or assessment?

Ok I'll finish it for him.

All-Stars- None

Assessment- All pitchers taken in the draft so a total crap shoot.  Grade C.
