Having traded my favorite player already, it was time to move on to my second favorite. High Desert acquires the 2007 Federal League MVP Carlos Beltran in exchange for Chris Young (the AZ one), Tim Lincecum, and Josh Fields. Bonds, Thomas, Schilling and others are still on the block.

The worst part about this job - fine time. Very low fine totals this year; thanks everybody. Some fines that would have otherwise existed have been waived either because of the PA snafu previously discussed or for other reasons (eg failure of road managers to follow specific usage instructions...

I thought this was a problem for many years. This year 5 relievers earned more points than Santana. I think the current formula over values era and undervalues quality innings pitched. my proposal will be to set the era for A calcualtions at 4.00 each year. this year it was 4.519 an...
