BUD/PET Draft Status
(Preview)
With Don's departure, a new manager for the other half of BUD/PET is needed asap so that that team can have the (admittedly abbreviated) chance to make trades, get its roster done, etc without slowing up the offseason.
Thankfully, Kevin has graciously agreed to take over the other team. Whi...

finding new managers
(Preview)
There are numerous web sites for different Strat leagues with leagues looking for new managers. Has anyone posted to any of them? I have looked at a handful today and have not seen any ARBA postings. If not, I suggest we create an advertisement for our need to fill an existing team with a small descripti...

For Eric M.
(Preview)
Eric,
The real reason this league exists is for the awesome flare ups that erupt on the message board on a regular basis. The baseball replay is just a necessary evil that allows this fun to continue. Welcome to the league!

Roster errors
(Preview)
Gentlemen,
Kevin asked me about some guys on the Bud/Pet rosters, and it brought to attention three corrections that should be made.
Buda has Stanford OF Michael "Taylor," not Michael "Tavares."
That should be "Chris Tillman" of the Mariners, not "Craig Tillman."
Christian Rodrigu...

Humble Happy Hour (Pitchers on Sale)
(Preview)
I fingered out, with help from Travis, that I have one too many Major leaguers. So I am selling one pitcher-Your choice.
I would like cash and or minor leaguers in return.
Thanks:

Draft update
(Preview)
The early going, showing just how insane I've gotten
Don opts to go first, calls his team the Petty Squabbles. Eric calls his team Buda and has been asked if he will rename.
Petty--Mauer
Buda--Morneau, Bonderman
Petty--McCann, Arod
Buda--Andruw, Young
Petty--(lunacy strikes)...

Washington/Surprise Trade
(Preview)
With their 12th deal of the offseason, the defending ARBA champion Surprise Zombies made their defense even more unlikely by trading away 2 more members of last year's major league roster. That brings the traded total up to 15 and very few of the rest are expected back.
This tim...

A proposal concerning divesting myself of a team
(Preview)
Gentlemen,
I am coming around to a thought that maybe owners shouldn't have two teams, but I'm not going to try to force anyone else to drop a team. I think my reluctance to drop one of my teams has always been primarily motivated by having to lose those favorite players from each team. Of course, I'm...

Surprise Trading Fever
(Preview)
Uh-oh, I'm starting to feel the trading fever again. 11 deals is just not enough! The prospect buying market may have dried up by now, but I'll throw out a few more names just in case anyone cares. So what if I just got most of these guys...I want more new blood!

Offseason Schedule - IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ
(Preview)
Okay, I'm an idiot.
Less than a week after scolding poor Kevin for not planning his life around my original offseason schedule, I am forced to admit that my wife reminded me this weekend that we have a long-scheduled vacation that includes Saturday Feb 17, the scheduled date for the C/FA Auction.

Surprise/High Desert Trade
(Preview)
With some sadness and regret, I have to announce my 11th deal of this offseason as the near-total purge of the 2006 ARBA champions continues. This time it's the young and exciting Jimmy Rollins, who played every single inning at SS for us the past 2 seasons. His destination is High Desert...
