Draft Order and Money Balances
(Preview)
Both are now posted on the main page. As a reminder, this is the first year that incorporated our new weighted randomized draft order for the top 5 picks. Much to my surprise, SFE was not in the bottom 5 teams, so I got to do the picks (out of my official 2000 Enron Field baseball cap). The teams with the le...

Austin offseason priorities
(Preview)
Austin is rebuilding, AGAIN! Hunter, K-Rod, Berkman, Lowe, Burnett are available. In fact any player is available. Looking for the typical rebuilding stuff. Young talent (carded or not), money, and draft picks.

BRK offseason priorities
(Preview)
Although we have high hopes for the post-season, don't want to miss out on any action in gearing up for 2009.
After a quick look at the team, I look great in the lineup, and a complete wasteland past the top core of pitchers. Plus, I need money worse than Wall Street.
So - things that might be interesti...

A combined perfect game.
(Preview)
"The powerful Elysian Fields Trojans pitching staff gave the fans an afternoon that they'll never forget by tossing a combined perfect game! The tension started to build around the 6th inning. By the 9th inning the crowd was electrified." quote from boxscore Okay, maybe they're not a...

Pettitte no-hitter and other wackiness
(Preview)
Two remarkable occurrences from the just-completed Iowa @ Springfield series: In game 2, Andy Pettitte pitched a no-hitter, walking two and striking out 8. Iowa won the game 3-0. For the series as a whole, Springfield scored 26 runs. Fourteen of those came in a single inning. Five runs were alre...

Derek Lowe tosses no-hitter
(Preview)
Okay, I just can't contain the excitement as no-hitters have been few and far between in a near 20 year Austin history. As they probably should be. Derek Lowe threw a no-hitter against Jersey Shore. The only two batters to reach base were a leadoff walk to Jack Cust in the second and a two out walk to Cust i...

FTW/HOU CM's
(Preview)
To avoid further confusion or delay, always use the default CM's for Houston and Ft. Worth road games. The lineups are based on the "type" of pitcher being faced, i.e. R2L. So I don't send series specific lineups for opposing pitchers. Those lineups are built into the default lineups....

CM and other things
(Preview)
This is the first year in which I am actually playing my own games, and I am not sure how to export and send a CM. Tom has walked me through setting up my CM, but when I try to save it, it just doesn't save. What am I doing wrong? Also, as most of you know I live and work in Indonesia-Not the most forgiving of pla...
