DBX-PBG Trade
(Preview)
PBG trades Anthony Rizzo to DBX for Oscar Taveras. Ummm PBG now has a relatively large 1b opening. Looking to cover AB's, quality would be a bonus but not a prerequisite.

World Series Game 5
(Preview)
Would Shiner be able to mount an incredible awe-inspiring comeback? No. Cole Hamels, so good in Game 2, pitched like crap, allowing 5 home runs in 5 innings of work, while Matt Moore gave up only 1 earned run in his 6 innings of work. Nate Schierholtz capped off his time in Shiner with a 2-run shot in th...

SUR-BAL Trade
(Preview)
Surprise also visited Bali's Bazaar of the Bizarre today and came away with another big part-time bat for their collection. They also ended up with some less appealing stuff, but that's just what happens at the triple B. Okay, so SUR sends $222K and their 2nd round pick to Bali in exchange for Mike C...

SHI/BAL Trade
(Preview)
Only one day after selling off one of their many players, Shiner bought two more from the Bali Bazaar of the Bizarre. I'm not allowed to trade for the most recent former SUR draft picks on his roster, so I'll settle for one from many years back: Jake McGee. Moving on to the details... Shiner sends $200K...

Bali has claimed international asylum, thus allowing the team to carry 65 players....
(Preview)
....almost all of the Major Leaguers into the season. Just think Tom, this may be the first year in Bali team history in which I don't have monumental fines for over-usage. If (UNCITRAL) United Nations Commission on International Trade Law's, ARBA division, feels that we must indeed follow the US ru...

SHI/SEW Trade
(Preview)
Shiner partially alleviated their CFA OF glut by sending Nate Schierholtz, SHI #4, and SHI #6 to Sewell for $300K. So after being cruelly denied Nate in the auction by a matched bid, Kevin gets his man after all. SHI would still really like to unload Xavier Paul, Reid Brignac, and Kelly Shoppach...

World Series Games 1-4
(Preview)
For an astonishing third year in a row, the Santa Fe Gecko Lizards and the Shiner Blondes met in the ARBA World Series. Shiner made the Series in its traditional manner, posting the best record in the Continental League at 109-53 and winning its division by 12 games. They then promptly dispatched Wil...

Bali went overboard in the C draft and now has an abundance of everything.
(Preview)
Seriously, I've got something like 66 players. I'll need to package two or three cards for a prospect. Some players available: Lombardozzi, Forsythe, Maybe Alex Rios, Tim Federowicz (or however you spell it). They'll be more once I figure out who all I drafted and where they'll play. Probably shou...

Need a Great Starting Pitcher?
(Preview)
SFE has AJ Burnett available. 3.30 ERA in 30 GS, well over a K an inning, allowed a paltry .231 / .304 / .335 line on the season. Looking for prospects, picks, etc. Note that he has recently denied the earlier reports that he was thinking of retiring and says that he will pitch next season, for PIT or som...
