PBG-Bali trade
(Preview)
This time, as Jose Berrios packed his bags for the 4th time this off season, he gave the Bali manager the middle finger. It's a bit far to travel all the way to Indonesia, and we have brought him back and traded him away multiple times. I'm pretty sure we'll be part of his no trade clause in his next deal. B...

Shiner/Austin Trade
(Preview)
Shiner's busy day continued as they acquired old friend Ian Desmond from Austin in exchange for their #4 pick and a $200K donation to Gary's favorite charity. Although his performance fell short of recent standards, we're happy to welcome him back after 4 years away. Okay, so we don't really need a...

Bali/Shiner Trade
(Preview)
Okay, I thought Aaron was going to announce Semien's dramatic return to Bali, but he hasn't yet so I might as well do that now. Anyway, after one season with Shiner, we're returning SS Marcus Semien to Bali in exchange for shiny prospect Franklin Barreto and another $150K in Philippine Pesos. Good l...

Who Needs a Quality 3B?
(Preview)
After belatedly realizing that Shiner won't be very good this season, veteran 3B David Freese has requested a trade to a potential contender. Shiner would like to accommodate him, but would need a younger major league player in return as their minors are very crowded. Current quality is less impo...

Bali Needs
(Preview)
We missed the Cdraft which didn't work out too well. Then went ahead and made trades looking to the future, but leaving large gaps in our effort to field a team this year. Bali currently needs: Full time SS (Unlimited will do); around 200 3b abs; LF and CF, I think we'd prefer another unlimited player t...

RDW-BRK Deal
(Preview)
Redwood sends their #1 pick in the IOD draft, Michael Foltynewisz, and E prospects Ryan McMahon, Tyler Kolek, and Dan Vogelbach to Brooklyn for Brandon Belt and $50K. The Pioneers are prepared to take the criticism for trading away a large block of youth for a guy nicknamed "the baby giraffe&qu...

Javier Baez looking for a home
(Preview)
For anyone looking for some youth with promise, Javy Baez is awaiting a new home. And I'm not Sally Strothers looking for a cash donation, a CF will do. Will consider other players to help this year as well. I can return replacement ABs. matt.lamphear@comcast.net

RDW-GOO
(Preview)
A trade a day, that's all we ask! In their third trade in the three days since trading opened, Redwood sends Chris Young and Javier Baez to Goose Island (mmmmm, beer) for CJ Wilson and Nick Markakis. In spite of the team basketball squad taking a hit by losing its center, we're hoping that Wilson and Mark...

Surprise/Redlake Blockbuster
(Preview)
Okay, so I'm indulging in a bit of hyperbole here. Anyway, Surprise sends the recently acquired Jordan Pacheco and catching prospect Pedro Severino to Redlake in exchange for veteran OF Chris Denorfia. For now, he's cast in the critical role of 5th OF behind McCutchen, Marte, Gonzalez, and Grich...
